Field Gothic Wide

The Field Gothic journey concludes with the Wide and X-Wide styles. Their broad, expansive forms were drawn from memories of our dad’s Columbia and Blue Note jazz albums, of signage at Eero Saarinen's old TWA terminal, and of midcentury auto-parts packaging at our local garage. As with the Narrow and Standard ranges, the type is crisp and coolish, with a robust x-height, slightly superelliptical curves, almost monoline light weights and, in the bolder styles, snug fit and sharply contrasting junctures.
